On the face of it the first team score looks really good, naturally a win would have been better and it looks as if it was a possibility, but to travel all that way and hold the team fifth in the league not only to a losing bonus point but to restrict them to only two tries and those in the first half I think is a worthy result, their defence must have been huge and I would think the players would be pleased with their efforts. George Pooley scored for us right at the start of the second half.
Luctonians collected three yellow cards, one at the end of the first half and two right at the end of the second half. I read into that that we were playing well and frustrating them.

Away to Exmouth II.
We got off to a super start with a Sam Fincham try inside nine minutes converted by Leighton Stark. 0~14.
Six minutes later Cam Donkin, good to see him back after a knee injury, scored and again Leighton Stark converted, 0~14.
On minute twenty-seven Josh Martin went over for a try, again Leighton Stark converting.
0~21.
After catching their breath Exmouth II finally got on the board with an unconverted try. 5~21.
Leighton Stark scored the bonus point try and converted his own effort just before the break.
5~ 28.
But Dan Beer just had time to score a first half try that Leighton Stark converted to leave the half-time score at 5~35.

At the start of the second half Elliot Lupson scored with Leighton Stark sharp with the kick again. 5~42.
It all looked a bit gloomy for Exmouth II but they did not think so and I suspect we took our eye off the game as we were scoring so well, suddenly they got into gear and put on some points with a three penalties, 14~42.
Then four minutes later a try. 19~42.
We stopped the revival with a Hayden Thomas try and a Leighton Stark conversion. 19~49.
Three minutes later Ryan Dunn scored for us again Leighton Stark converted. 19~56.
Josh Anderson touched down the last of our tries with Leighton Stark converting.
19~63.
Exmouth went all out for a bonus point and scored a try but missed the conversion, 24~56.
Shortly afterwards the referee blew for full time and they didn't quite make it.
