Devonport Services 0 – Exeter Saracens 15

1st Match

Exeter were strong going forward but Services defended well.Strong runs by Joshua,James and Ben could not stop Exeter scoring two tries before half time.
Strong pressure by Exeter resulted in another try 5 mins into the 2Nd half.Strong running by,James,Lloyd and Joshua was defended well by Exeter and Services still couldn’t score.
Services continued to apply pressure through Joe & Ollie, their passing was great and strong tackling from Matt,Ethan and Lloyd helped services to keep Exeter at bay.
A solid run from Aden also failed to penetrate Exeter.Services stepped up to the challenge but were unlucky.

Devonport Service 5 –Exeter Saracens 20

2nd Match

Early strong running from Ollie and Lloyd kept Exeter in their own half but Exeter dug deep and defended well. Great defending from Matt, Lloyd and Ethan stopped strong Exeter pressure and the half time score was 0-0.
Exeter came out strong in the 2nd half, but excellent tackling by Charlie,Aden and Ethan,stopped Exeter’s early threat.Ethan, Niall and Matt tried in vain to stop Exeter scoring, but Exeter were persistent and scored their 1st try.Strong defence by Services couldn’t stop Exeter scoring their 2nd try a couple of minutes later.Aden immediately came back from the restart with an excellent individual try to get Services on the score sheet.
More ferocious tackling by Services could not stop Exeter from going over for 2 more tries in the dying minutes,but credit to all of the Services players who dug deep and defended well.

Man of the match award went to Aden Collis.
